At TeteoApp we value your trust in us with regard to your information, and we will always uphold it. Making sure you comprehend the data we gather, why we collect it, how it is utilized, and your options about your data comes first in this process. Our privacy practices are outlined in this Policy. As of March 11, 2023, this privacy statement is in effect.


The following information provides information on who we are, the areas in which this privacy statement applies, the information we gather, how we use it, how we share it, cross-border data transfers, and your rights. How long we may keep your information, Children's Privacy, Job Applicants, Contractors, and Vendor Representatives, updates to our privacy practices, and how to Contact Us.


Who We Are


We are Teteo ®. We are a team whose mission is to connect those who want to go out for fun. Our goal is that you continue to enjoy your post-work days & weekends and your days off.

 

With Teteo app you can see who is on Teteo mode ON/OFF.

MODE OFF: Rain Check


With Teteo you can let others know you're Ready to Go Out For Fun or simply take a  Rain Check. Connect with other Teteaters and plan to go out for food, drinks, and dancing fun.


Where This Privacy Policy Applies


The websites, applications, events, and other services we provide under the Teteo are covered by this privacy statement. For the sake of simplicity, we will refer to all of these in this Privacy Policy as "services."

Information We Collect

It should go without saying that without some information about you, such as your basic profile information and the kinds of people you'd like to Go Out For Fun, we can't assist you make significant connections. We also gather information from third parties, such as when you use your social media account to access our services or when you upload data from your social media account to complete your profile, as well as information on how you use our services, such as access logs. We go into further detail below if you're interested in more information.

Information you give us

When you use our services, you voluntarily provide us with some information.

For the service to function, you must provide us with certain basic information when you register an account, such your gender, date of birth, and the location you want to connect with. At the very least, you must give us your phone number or email address.

You can choose to share your sex with us after you've finished your profile. You agree that we may use the elements you disclose to us for the purposes outlined in this privacy statement. Also, you can provide us with information about your background and interests as well as content like pictures and videos. You might give us permission to access your camera or photo album in order to add certain content, like images or videos.

You give us information about the purchases you make when you subscribe to a paid service or buy something directly from us (as opposed to doing so through a platform like iOS or Android), and you give our payment processors information like your debit or credit card number or other financial details.

Your information may be shared with us if you were barred from using another Teteo service so that we can take the appropriate action, such as cancelling your account or barring you from opening one on our services.
  • Other Partners: When our advertisements are displayed on a partner's service, we might get information about you from them (in which case they might share information about a campaign's success). As part of our efforts to guarantee the safety and security of our members, we may also get details about suspected or convicted bad actors from third parties, where this is permitted by law.

Data generated or automatically collected when you use our services

When you use our service, you generate technical data on the features you've used, how you've used them, and the devices you use to access our services when you use our services. For more information, see below.

  • Information collected by cookies and similar technologies:To identify you and/or your device, we employ cookies and related technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and SDKs) and may also permit third parties to do so (s). Certain web browsers contain a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") function that informs a website that a user does not want their online activity to be recorded. Some web browsers include Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. When a DNT signal is received by a website that responds to one, the browser has the option to prevent that website from gathering certain user data. A DNT option is not available in every browser, and DNT signals are not yet standard. This is why a lot of companies, like ours, do not now react to DNT signals.


Other information with your consent

Precise geolocation data:  We can obtain your exact geolocation (latitude and longitude) from your device if you allow us permission to do so. If the consent you gave us expressly enables such collection, your geolocation may be collected in the background even while you aren't using the services. You might not be able to use our services that depend on exact geolocation if you refuse to give us permission to collect your location data.

We may collect other information with your permission, such as photos and videos (for instance, if you want to publish a photo or video or participate in streaming features on our services).

How We Use Information

We use your information primarily to provide and enhance our services. We also use your information to deliver ads that may be of interest to you and to keep you and our community safe.   • Perform and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on our services and marketing our services off our platform
  • Communicate with you about products or services that we believe may interest you

E. To improve our services and develop new ones

  • Administer focus groups, market studies and surveys
  • Review interactions with customer care teams to improve our quality of service
  • Understand how members typically use the services to improve them (for instance, we may decide to change the look and feel or even substantially modify a given feature based on how members react to it)
  • Develop new features and services (for example, we may decide to build a new interests-based feature further to requests received from members)

F. To prevent, detect and fight fraud and other illegal or unauthorized activities

  • Find and address ongoing, suspected or alleged violations of our Terms of Use, notably through the review of reports and interactions between members
  • Better understand and design countermeasures against violations of our Terms of Use
  • Retain data related to violations of our Terms of Use to address the violation and prevent against recurrences
  • Enforce or exercise our rights, for example our rights set out in our Terms of Use

We depend on the following legal justifications to treat your information as set forth in this privacy statement:

  • Provide our service to you: To carry out the terms of the contract you have with us, we process your information for the aforementioned purposes (A), (B), and (C). To manage your account and profile, make it visible to other members, recommend other members to you, and otherwise deliver our free and premium features to you and other users as you use our service to establish meaningful connections.
  • Legitimate interests:  Our legitimate interest justifies the processing of your information for reasons D, E, and F listed above. For instance, we process information to help keep our members safe and we process information where necessary to enforce our rights, assist law enforcement, and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a legal action. We also suggest offers we think you might be interested in and promote our own services.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations: When it is required for us to abide by applicable rules and regulations and provide proof of compliance, we treat your information for purpose G above. For instance, in order to comply with our accounting, tax, and other statutory data retention obligations and to be able to react to legitimate access demands from law enforcement, we preserve traffic data and data regarding transactions. Additionally, we maintain records of the consents members provide us as well as any decisions they may have made to decline a particular feature or procedure.

With other members

When you freely disclose information on the site or application, such as your public profile, you share such information with other members. Please use caution when disclosing personal information, and only share materials that you feel confident are appropriate for public consumption.


We may inform the reporter of any measures we take as a result of their report if they submit a report about you (such as an allegation that you violated our Rules of Use).


With our service providers and partners

In areas including data hosting and maintenance, analytics, customer support, marketing, advertising, payment processing, and security operations, we rely on vendors to help us run, distribute, promote, and enhance our services. We also share information with distributors and partners who help us promote our services. For instance, we might give advertising suppliers access to a limited amount of hashed, machine-readable information about you.

Before partnering or hiring any vendors or collaborating with any partners, we strictly follow a verification process. Strict confidentiality requirements must be accepted by our suppliers and partners.


With our affiliates

We share your information with affiliates for limited legitimate purposes as laid out below:

To increase the safety of all Teteo platforms and provide us the ability to deal with (e.g., ban) bad actors detected on one platform on all the others. for them to work with us as data processors or service providers under our direction and on our behalf. They may help with technical processing tasks including data hosting and maintenance, customer service, marketing and targeted advertising, analytics, finance and accounting support, service improvement, data and system security, and combating spam, abuse, fraud, infringement, and other wrongdoings.

As permitted by applicable legislation, we may additionally share information with other Teteo companies for additional legitimate business purposes, such as corporate audit, analysis, and consolidated reporting, where and as allowed under applicable law.

Sharing functionality: Using the sharing functionality, you can decide to share your profile with people outside of our services, and other members can choose to share yours.


For corporate transactions

If we engage entirely or in part in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestment, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy, or other change of ownership or control, we may transfer your information.


With law enforcement / when required by law

We may disclose your information when we believe it is appropriate to do so, including when it is: I necessary to respond to legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government or law enforcement investigation, or other legal requirements; (ii) necessary to prevent or detect crime (subject in each instance to applicable law); or (iii) necessary to protect someone's safety.


To enforce legal rights

To protect our legal rights and the legal rights of our members, business partners, and other interested parties, to enforce our agreements with you, to enforce the law, to investigate, prevent, or take other appropriate action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud, or other wrongdoing, we may also share information.


With your consent or at your request

If we want to share your information with third parties, we might need your permission. Anytime this happens, we will be upfront about why we're sharing the data.

Under any of the aforementioned circumstances, we may use and share both personal information in hashed, non-human readable form and non-personal information (information that, by itself, does not uniquely identify you, such as device information, general demographics, general behavioral data, and location in de-identified form). Your Rights and Choices

We want you to be in control of your information, so we want to remind you of the following options and tools available to you:

  • Access / Update tools in the service: You can access, correct, or remove information that you gave to us and that is linked with your account directly within the service with the aid of tools and account settings. Please get in touch with our customer service staff for assistance if you have any questions about those tools and settings.
  • Device permissions: Permission systems for particular sorts of device data and notifications, such as phone contacts, photographs, location services, push notifications, and advertising identifiers, can be implemented on mobile platforms.   • Account closure. You can close your account by using the corresponding functionality directly on the service if available within the most updated version of Teteo platforms. You may send an account closure by sending a written request via the web at https://teteo.app/contact-us or Support@teteoapp.com.

Also, we want you to understand your privacy rights. Depending on your location, you might be entitled to:

  • Delete/erase. You may request that we delete the personal information we keep about you. You can exercise your right to delete by submitting a request.
  • Correct/rectify/update. You can correct most information you provided to us by editing your profile directly in the service. If you believe the information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may contact us to rectify it.
  • Before we may respond to the aforementioned requests, we might require identification documentation for the sake of everyone's safety. Remember that we reserve the right to refuse requests, including if we are unable to verify your identity, if the request is illegal or invalid, or if it would violate someone else's privacy or other rights or their trade secrets or intellectual property. A member must get in touch with us and give their written authorization before we can release information about them to you, such as a copy of any messages you have received from them through our service, if you want to receive information about them.

How Long We Retain Your Information

We only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations as long as required by law. Your profile will no longer be viewable to other users if you choose to request to deactivate your account after utilizing our services for a while. We will remove your personal data if your account is closed, as detailed below:

  1. We implement a safety retention window of three months following account closure or one year following an account ban in order to ensure the safety and security of our members. We may store your information throughout this time or more as permitted by law if it becomes essential to look into potentially harmful or illegal activities. Our legitimate interests and the interests of potential third-party victims are the foundation for the retention of information throughout this safety retention window.
  2. Once the safety retention window elapses, we delete your data and only keep limited information for specified purposes, as laid out below:

  • We maintain limited data to comply with legal data retention obligations: in particular, we may keep transaction data for 10 years to comply with tax and accounting legal requirements, credit card information for the duration the user may challenge the transaction and “traffic data” / logs for one year to comply with legal data retention obligations. We also keep records of consents members give us for five years to evidence our compliance with applicable law.
  • We maintain limited information on the basis of our legitimate interest: we keep customer care records and supporting data as well as imprecise location of download/purchase for five years to support our customer care decisions, enforce our rights and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim, information on the existence of past accounts and subscriptions, which we delete three years after the closure of your last account to ensure proper and accurate financial forecasting and reporting, profile data for one year in anticipation of potential litigation, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, and data necessary to prevent members who were banned from opening a new account, for as long as necessary to ensure the safety and vital interests of our members.


Finally, we maintain information on the basis of our legitimate interest where there is an outstanding or potential issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep information (in particular if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request asking us to preserve data (in which case we would need to keep the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if data would otherwise be necessary as part of legal proceedings).


No Children Allowed

Only people who are at least 18 years old are permitted to use our services. We don't allow anyone under the age of 18 to use our platform. Please use the service's reporting feature if you believe a member is under the legal drinking age. You may send a notification via https://teteo.app/contact-us.


Privacy Policy Changes


This policy may evolve over time as we always explore for fresh and inventive methods to support you in making meaningful connections and work to ensure that explanations of our data practices are accurate.
